The 14th Egyptian Dental Association International Dental Congress has now been successfully terminated.The opening ceremony was held on the evening of Tuesday 10th November at the Pearl Hall in Fairmont Tower Heliopolis Hotel with over 800 attendees.The ceremony started with the National anthem followed by a verse from the holy Quran, then members of the board of directors delivered welcoming speeches, this was followed by handing plaques of appreciation to a member of dignitaries including colleagues who have completed 50 years of distinguished service to the profession comprising Professor Maguid Amin Honorary President of the Association and former Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities and now Vice President of MSA University and Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry MSA University, Dr. Morad AbdEl-Salam President of the Egyptian Dental Syndicate from 1988 till the Present time , Professor Evylin Younan Former Head of Oral Pathology Department Faculty of Dentistry Alexandria University, Professor Aly Nour Former Vice Dean of Post Graduate Studies and Research And Former Head of Conservative Department, Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine , Cairo University, as well as Presidents of Egyptian Universities both Public and Private followed by a dinner party. The Congress itself started on Wednesday 11th November at 9:00 am in the Montazah, Abdeen and Mamouniya halls accommodating more than 1000 attendees.The congress continued with 8 lecture sessions daily from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM.The congress was attended by over 7200 colleagues from Egypt and from many foreign countries.The closing ceremony was held on the evening of Friday 13th November in the Saraya Hall at the InterContinental City Stars Hotel. The congress also included virtually the largest trade exhibition of any congress in the Middle east with an exhibition area more than 3400 m2
